7x tips and tricks for a succesful action

DRESS UP YOUR ACTION PAGE
Has your action page been created? Start now with making your page personal. Place a picture or maybe even a video of yourself. Share your motivation. Why are you doing this, and why do you hope people will sponsor you. The more personal your page is, the more likely you will get donations. Most of your supporters will donate because they think it's cool that you are taking action for a good cause.

TREAT YOURSELF
When you register, start by donating to yourself. Who knows, you might inspire your sponsors!

TELL EVERYONE ABOUT YOUR ACTION
Tell everyone about your action. Share, share, share! Use our sharing buttons to let everyone know about your action!

WHATSAPP
For example, create a mailing list on WhatsApp and share the link to your page plus your motivation to everyone on that list.

AT THE SOCCER CLUB, AT WORK, OR OVER DRINKS 
Start a conversation with groups. For example, your sports buddies, friends, classmates, or colleagues. Tell them about your action and ask them to donate.

SOCIAL MEDIA
Talk about your action on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram and regularly show how it is going. Involve your followers/friends in your preparations, tell how your sponsorship is going, and thank people publicly every time you receive a donation. This way, others see that you are sponsored, which motivates them to do it too! Really, it helps!

LOCAL MEDIA
Don't forget the regional or local newspaper, radio or TV! They are always looking for local news: approach them with your remarkable story or fundraiser. An interview is quickly made and can help you enormously in recruiting sponsors. Did you succeed? Then we would love to hear your story. That way, we can give it some extra attention!

DARE TO ASK 
When you tell someone about your action, dare to ask the follow-up question. So if someone says: "What a nice action!" you say. 'Yes, huh! How much would you like to sponsor me with?' That way, you round off the conversation and end up not only with a thumbs up but also actual donations ;-)

UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS
One of the main reasons people sponsor you with a donation is because you ask them personally. Some people also want to know what their money is being spent on. A fair question! You can answer the following: Your help saves lives. Your donation contributes to education, clean drinking water, soap, and medical care for refugees worldwide. INVOLVE AND THANK YOUR SPONSORS
Stay in touch with your sponsors. Let them know about your efforts regularly, for example, how the fundraising is going and how much money you have raised. You can keep a blog on your personal page. An excellent way to share the news with your sponsors!
Very important! Thank everyone personally who supports your campaign! 

STAY STRONG AND HOLD ON!
Not everyone will donate right away. Therefore, send reminder emails or Whatsapp messages if they have not yet donated. The person who perseveres wins ;-)
